2.14.09 – Penderecki String Quartet @ REDCAT, Los Angeles, CA. 8:30p.m. The Penderecki String Quartet will be joined by myself and other CalArts students, alumni, and faculty in a performance of Michael Gordon’s “Weather – Part I”. Other works that will be performed by the quartet alone include Veronika Krausas’ Midaregami (Tangled Hair) and George Crumb’s Black Angels.

quartet presents a concert with works by David Rosenboom, Marc Sabat, Mark Menzies, and the premiere of Art Jarvinen’s new epic string quartet 100 Cadences with four melodies, a chorale, and coda (“with bells on!”).
